James Bronston Bloyd, the son of the late Joe N. Bloyd and Lissie Margaret Milby Bloyd, was born June 7, 1920 in Green County and departed this life Friday, December 5, 2003 in the Bowling Green Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He was 83 years, five months and 28 days of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Brush Creek Baptist Church.
He is survived by one son and two daughters: Jerry Bloyd of Buffalo, Pat Underwood of Bowling Green and Teresa Richerson of Campbellsville; one sister and two brothers: Lois Curry of Greensburg, Ira Bloyd of Hodgenville and Joseph (E..J.) Bloyd of Macon, Georgia; three grandchildren: Lee Shelton of Greensburg; Malcolm Richerson and Kaylin Richerson both of Campbellsville; four great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by seven brothers and two sisters: Josie Cissell, Ethel Durrett, Garnett Bloyd, Walter Bloyd, David Bloyd, William Bloyd, Homer Bloyd and Earl Bloyd.
The funeral services for James Bronston Bloyd were conducted Sunday December 7, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Perkins Cemetery. Rev. Ancil Durrett officiated.
Pallbearers were Lee Shelton, Bobby Gene McCubbins, Finis Berry, Tommy McCubbins, Garry McCubbins and Timmy Berry.
