JOHN DOLAN, ORGANIZER OF ENGINEERS, DIES
The funeral of John K. Dolan, formerly one of the custodians of the Labor Temple, who died Saturday, was held at the Cathedral this morning at 9 o'clock. The remains were shipped to San Mateo where they will be interred in the Holy Cross Cemetery.
Old Railroad Engineer
Dolan was organizer and Past President of Local 210, Stationary Engineers, and was one of the first of the Southern Pacific engineers on the Western Division.
He remained in the employ of the railroad for many years and made many trips to foreign contries in the interest of the road. In his capacity of engineer he spent some time in Guatemala.
He also was in the service of Sacramento City and County as engineer.
Deceased is survived by his widow, Maud Dolan, a daughter, Mrs. H. C. Stanley, of Sacramento, and two sisters, Mrs. J. R. Forrest, of Ogden, Utah and Mrs. Fred Murray of Reno, Nevada.
