Mr. Baker came to Ranger in 1920 and moved to Breckenridge in 1922.
He married Clara Harper of Abilene on 16 February 1931 while residing in Albany.
The couple moved from Albany to Breckenridge in 1931.
He was an independent oil operator and member of the Bethany Baptist Church.
Survivors: wife; daughter - Mrs. Ray Wilson; son - Len Baker; grandson; two sisters - Mrs. N.O. Greene of Andrews and Mrs. W.C. Dixon of Breckenridge; two brothers - Archer and Alma Baker.
A daughter, Betty Baker McLaughlin preceded her father in death.
