Lewis F. Clark was the third son born to Carl A. and C. Louise (Freeman) Clark. He attended Marlborough High School and Marlborough Trade School. Lew, as he was known to most family & friends, worked as a machinist, tool & die maker, factory foreman and customer service manager during his career in manufacturing firms. He married Virginia Blair Curtis of Marlborough in 1934 and they had four children: Kenneth Curtis, Lewis Freeman Jr., Mary Belle and Margaret Jane. He served, as a volunteer, during World War II in the Ardennes, the Rhineland and other parts of Central Europe and was the recipient of the Good Conduct Medal among other awards. Hobbies included reading and gardening. In 1987 he retired to Venice, Florida where he spent his remaining years in the warm weather he much preferred in the same area as his oldest brother, Robert E. Clark.
