Lisa M. Schroeder, 48, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2011. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3300 Easton Blvd, followed by burial at Rising Sun Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.
Lisa was born February 22, 1963 in Des Moines to Kathy and Delbert. She graduated from East High School and attended Drake University. Lisa was a pharmacy technician. She worked at the University of Iowa, as well as Iowa Methodist and other pharmacies. Lisa was a avid NASCAR fan, a Bears fan, and an absolute cat lover. She adored spending time with her nephew, Bryan. She enjoyed riding co-pilot with her David around the USA. Her favorite place to go was Alpine, CA and had extended family there. Lisa enjoyed all the holidays and decorated inside and outside, especially Halloween, when she would hand out candy to hundreds of kids. She also loved the Iowa State Fair and never passed up a craft show. Lisa played badminton, croquet and planting flowers in the spring.
Lisa is survived by her mother and step-father, Katherine Dale and Paul Morrison; her common-law husband, David Auld; her brother, Daniel (Lisa) Stamper and nephew, Bryan. She is preceded in death by her father, Delbert Stamper.
Lisa suffered from Huntington's disease which took her life and her vitality. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the H.D. Center, University of Iowa, Iowa City.
