Richard Dole was the son of William and Dorothy Barnard Dole and was the original immigrant from Rangeworthy, Gloucester County just north of Bristol, England. Hannah was the daughter of Henry and Honour Rolfe. Both Richard and Henry are mentioned in a memorial to the founders of Newbury.

He married 2nd Hannah Brocklebank, widow of Samuel Brocklebank. Her maiden name is unknown or may possibly have been Brocklebank too (my query). Two of Richard and Hannah Rolfe's children married two children of Samuel and Hannah Brocklebank. There is some confusion in the linking of memorials on FAG.

Children include:
--John b 1648 married Mary Gerrish,
--William married Mary Brocklebank,
--Richard b 1650 married Sarah Greenleaf,
--Anna (1653-1653),
--Benjamin b 1654,
--Joseph b 1657,
--Henry b 1662/3 married Sarah Brocklebank (his stepsister). She married 2nd Nathaniel Coffin.
--Hannah b 1665 married John Moody,
--Apphia b 1668 married Peter Coffin,
--Abner b 1671/2 married Mary Jewett and Sarah Beecher.
