Granval E. Turner was the son of Ernest William Turner and Caldonia Irene Ingle. In 1938 he married Margaret Savana Thomas and they raised three sons: Thomas Granval, Charles Lynn, and Ernest Dale Turner. He enlisted in the US Army at Fort Sam Houston, TX during WWII. At the time of his death, he was living in New Braunfels, TX and was married to Jo Elizabeth Terry. He was buried in Corpus Christi, TX.
