Six area men are on the latest offical War DEpartment list of those killed in action in the Centrl Pacific and the European theater.
Killed in the European theater was Pvt. Lawrence M. Anderson, son of mrs. Bridget A. Anderson of 7 Grant Street, Cohoes.

Cohoes Army Man Killed In France
Pvt. Lawrence Anderson, *30, of the Army, who had been previously listed as missing, was killed in action in France, June 10. according to a message from the War Department, received by his mother, Mrs. Bridget Anderson of 7 Grant Street, Cohoes. The date on which the soldier's death occurred was that on which he was originally reported as missing. Private Anderson left with a Cohoes Selective Service contingent last fall and took his basic training at Camp VanDorn, Miss. He was transferred overseas with an infantry unit shortly after completeing training. Born in Cohoes, the soldier had always resided here and prior to entering the service was employed by the Buchman Comfort Products Co. He was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church and attended the school connected with that pariah and later Cohoes High School. His father was the late Charles Anderson. Besides his mother, Pvt. Anderson is survived by two sisters, the misses Mary and Josephine Anderson, both of this city.
