Mrs. Annie Elizabeth Fickes, 70, formerly of Orrtanna, died Friday afternoon at 4:25 at the Guilford Convalescent Home, Fayetteville. She had been a guest there since last November.
A native of Adams County, she was a daughter of the late Charles F and Virginia (Kump) Shultz, and was a member of the Mt. Cavalry EUB Church. She was employed for a number of years at the Musselman Division of Pet Inc., Biglerville.
Her husband, Christian Fickes, died in 1957.
From 1965, when she broke her hip, until last November, she resided with a daughter, Mrs. Mary O Shindledecker.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Mary O Shindledecker, Fairfield, R1; Mrs. Betty J Baker, Biglerville R2, and Mrs. Susan E Wiles, Gettysburg R4; a son, Nelson E Fickes, Waynesboro R4; 13 grandchildren; two brothers, Lloyd Shultz, Birmingham, Ala.; and Earl Shultz, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 from the Bender Funeral Home, Carlisle Street, with the Rev. Alfred Gotwalt officiating. Interment will be in Flohr’s Cemetery.
