SUFFOLK - Ebony Maisha Williams Johnson, 32, of the 400 block of Collier Crescent, was called home to be with the Lord Sunday, April 17, 2011. She was born in Frankfurt, Germany and attended Fordham University and Mesa State College. Ebony served as an elementary school teacher in Norfolk Public Schools for eight years. She was a member of Hampton Roads Church. Ebony was predeceased by her grandparents, Dolores Ramos and Willie Williams. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, LaQuince Johnson; her son, Khalid L. Johnson; her parents, Corrine and Clyde Williams; her sister, Sherrie' Brown; three brothers, Maurice, Jeremiah and Nehemiah; her grandmother, Hazel Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. A viewing will be held from 4 until 7 p.m. today, April 22, at J. T. Fisher Funeral Services, 1080 N. George Washington Highway, Chesapeake. A life celebration service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 23, at East End Baptist Church, 523 E. Washington St., Suffolk, with Mike Fontenot officiating. Burial will follow in Carver Memorial Cemetery, Suffolk. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to her son Khalid's account at Navy Federal Credit Union.
