Bertha Elizabeth Hall was the daughter of William Asa Hall and Fannie Mae Mynhier Hall. Bertha had two brothers: Orville Timothy "O.T." Hall and James Russell "Jack" Hall, and four sisters: Marjorie "Marge" Brunett Hall Evans, Christine Ludolph "Tene" Hall, Lillian Ruth "Ruth" Hall Elam, and Dorothy M. "Dot" Hall Huff. She married Francis Marion Bennett III on Feb. 23, 1936 in Wauchula, Hardee County, Florida. Bertha died on Jan. 20, 2001 in the hospital at Crystal River, Citrus County, Florida with all her children at her bedside. Both "Bert" and Marion are buried in Jacksonville Memory Gardens in Orange Park, Clay County, Florida. Buried next to them is Marion's younger brother Charles.
