Amelia E. Yoder
Amelia E. Yoder, 89, of Topeka, died at 11:40 pm on Wednesday, April 20, at her residence. She was born on September
20, 1921 in Middlebury, to Ezra and Susie (Lehman) Bontrager. On December 9, 1943 in Middlebury, she married Levi E.
Yoder, he died August 13, 1997. Surviving are nine daughters, Mary (Calvin) Weaver of Shipshewana, Ada (Orva) Miller of
Shipshewana, Sue (Vernon) Schrock of Middlebury, Wilma (Steve) Kauffman of Topeka, LeAnna (Glen) Nisley of Goshen,
Esther (Albert) Miller of Topeka, Alma (Dewayne) Miller of Goshen, Ruby (Orva) Borntrager and Erma (Orla) Yoder both of
Millersburg; two sons, Ezra (Mary Ellen) Yoder and Freeman (Lydia Sue) Yoder both of Shipshewana;75 grandchildren, 169
great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter; sister, Ella (Mel) Nisley of Goshen; three brothers, Levi (Ada)
Bontrager of Middlebury, Andy (Edna) Bontrager of Topeka, Sam (Ada) Bontrager of Middlebury. She was preceded in
death by both parents, husband, four grandchildren, four brothers, Harley, Dan, Monroe and Joe Bontrager, sister, Lizzie
Mae Bontrager.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church. Visitation will be after 3:00 pm on
Thursday April 21, and all day Friday April 22, at the family residence, 5375 West 500 South, Topeka. Funeral services will
be at 9:30 am on Saturday April 23, also at the family residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Elva Lambright and
home ministers. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery, LaGrange.
