John W Bowmaster, 61, of near Cashtown, died Thursday evening at 6 o’clock at the Annie M Warner hospital. He underwent a serious operation a week ago.
Mr. Bowmaster was a son of the late John and Mary (Sharrah) Bowmaster and was born and lived his entire life near Cashtown.
He is survived by his widow and the following sons and daughters Ruth E Bowmaster, Harrisburg; Lawrence and Alice Bowmaster, Cashtown; Mrs. Roy Thomas, West Chester; Mrs. Clarence Baker, Orrtanna, R D; Guy Bowmaster, Lancaster; Jacob Bowmaster, Grand Rapids, Ohio; Mrs. Earl Flickinger, Arendtsville; Mrs. Guy Deatrick and Charles Bowmaster, at home; two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Samuel Shultz, McKnightstown, R D; Anna Bowmaster and William Bowmaster, Franklin township.
Twenty- one grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services at the home Monday morning at 9:30 with further services at Flohr’s Lutheran church at 10 o’clock, the Rev. B P S Busey officiating.
