Thelma L. Caldwell, age 88, of Hot Springs Village, died Monday, April 18, 2011.

She was born March 12, 1923, at Newport, the daughter of Marlan Hulse Willis and Susan Columbia Ford Willis. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Cleo Willis and Fred Willis, and two sisters, Cynthia Barnes and Bessie Sutherland.

Thelma was a homemaker, who loved Bluegrass music and cooking for her family.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Debbie Holder of Hot Springs Village; one daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and James Williamson of Hot Springs; seven grandchildren, Darrell Holder, Johnna Sue Tillery, Jason Fortenberry, Tina Brown, all of Hot Springs, Elana Johnson and Jay Paul Williamson, both of Benton and Brandon Ragsdale of Conway; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruby Romines of Malvern; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Services will be 10:00 AM, Friday, at the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs, with Bro. Robert Howell officiating.

Interment will be in Glazier Peau Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.

Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday evening.

Pallbearers will be Thelma's grandsons and great-grandsons.

Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Fountain Lake Health and Rehab and the staff of Odyssey Hospice.
