Mary Lintner, 92 year old long time Mooreland resident, died Thursday, April 14, 2011 at the Mooreland Heritage Manor. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 18, 2011 in the First United Methodist Church of Mooreland with the Reverend David Mercer officiating. Interment will be in the Mooreland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Billings Chapel in Mooreland from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 17, 2011.

Mary Mae (Fussell) Lintner was born on May 1, 1918 to Samuel and Mary Catherine (Majors) Fussell. She was reared in the red hills, north of Curtis, Oklahoma and attended the Enterprise School. Mary graduated from Mooreland High School in 1936. She was united in marriage to Carl Everett Lintner on July 20, 1938 in Enid, Oklahoma. They made their first home north of Mooreland, before moving to the family farm in 1943. The family lived on the family farm until 1974 when they moved into Mooreland. Mary has resided there since that time.

Mary was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mooreland. She taught Sunday school and was involved with community services. She was past President of The Work and Play Club and was honored with numerous awards for her many years of dedication. Mary enjoyed her bridge club with friends, sewing, hand made crafts and her doll collection. She loved her Church and Family.

She is survived by her four sons, Gene Lintner and wife Carol of Hollister, Missouri, Gary Lintner and wife Linda of Mooreland, Robert Lintner of Oklahoma City, Jim Lintner of Chicago, Illinois; eight grandchildren, Jackie Maloney and husband Harry, Dee Hamilton and husband Earl, Billy Dan Lintner and wife Kelly, Shana Hazard and husband Steve, Angie Lintner, Cindy Wilson, Tim Lintner and wife Jill, Carl Lintner; 17 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nina Maddux of Woodward, Francis Harney of Ponca City; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Mary Fussell, her husband Carl on April 14, 1985, grandson Danny Eugene Lintner, great-granddaughter, Jaycee Hamilton, six brothers, Jack, Bill, Lewis, George, Clarence, and Fred and one sister Carrie who died when she was a child. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mooreland United Methodist Church Building Fund or the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
