Eleanor Irene Braddy, 90, of Mt. Vernon, Illinois passed away at 7:00 A.M. on Monday, June 9, 2008 at Nature Trail Health Care Center in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. She was born on Friday, June 29, 1917 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois the daughter of the late Adolph and Caroline "Carrie' (Henn) Yaeger. She married Wilney Braddy on December 25, 1941 in Perryville, Missouri. He preceded her in death on September 13, 2003. Surviving family members include her Son: Ron Braddy and wife Barbara of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; 3 Daughters: Carol Braddy of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, Glenda Brown and husband Kenneth Michael of Mt. Vernon, Illinois and Marilyn Joyce Hudgens of Marion, Illinois; 7 Grandchildren: Deloris "Dee" Burris and husband Jeff of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, Rhonda Braddy of East Sound, Washington, Teresa Williams of Dickson, Tennessee, Melissa "Missy" Yearwood of Marion, Illinois, Bradley Allen Yearwood of Renton, Washington, Pamela Ruth Hudgens of Marion, Illinois and Stephanie Wray and husband Mark of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina; 8 Great Grandchildren: James, Ryan, Christopher and Michelle Burris, Max and Stefany Williams, Delaney and Gracie Wray. Her parents, husband, two brothers: Herman "Buck" and John Yaeger and one sister: Lucy Edmondson preceded her in death.
Mrs. Braddy served on the P.T.A. and was a Home Room Mother for many years at the school where her children attended ; she was a homemaker, a very devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was a member of Logan Street Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
