Ervin Grulke, 87 years, 11 months, 15 days, of Rogers City passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at Tendercare Health Center of Rogers City. He was born May 5, 1923, in Belknap Township to Adolph and Anna (Ristow) Grulke.
Ervin served in the United States Army. On July 3, 1943 he married Elaine Bruning. Mr Grulke owned Grulke Hardware Store from 1970 until his retirement in 2004, but stayed on chief consultant. He was a member of St John Lutheran Church and a founding and life member of Rogers City Veterans of Foreign Wary (VFW) Post 607.

Visitation was at the Beck Funeral Home on Monday, April 25th, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00. Visitation resumed Tuesday, April 26th at St John Lutheran Church from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral at 11:00 a.m. with his son, Pastor Galen Grulke and Pastor John Schreiber officiating.
Rogers City VFW Post 607 accordrf full military honors following the service.
Interment followed at Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St John Lutheran Church General Fund in memory of Ervin Grulke.
