Lillie Endicott is my grandmother. She was the strongest woman I ever met, something she passed on to females in her family. Grandma's life was so rooted in God's Word, she had more faith than anyone. She was so amazing, she raised my grandfather's sons Williard and Arthur as if they were her own. They were only about 13 years younger than her. Grandma raised her children to be God fearing. Although, they didn't always act like, that trait was passed on to her grandchildren, and although we don't always act like we have passed it on to her great grandchildren..... She suffered the heartbreak of burying several of her children and yet never lost faith or questioned God. God brought her from the edge of death so many times. I can remember rushing to the hospital in the middle of the night because she was not expected to live. The next day she'd been fine. When she died at age 91, we grandchildren were shocked and devastated. I could not wrap my mind around her actually being gone. But I know she is not really gone, she is such an intricate part of who I am, she will always be with me. Grandma received her ultimate healing and is dancing with the Lord.
I was blessed to have my grandma into my 30's. Grandma always spoke her mind and shared her opinion, even when we would have preferred she'd not. She was a hoot. Grandma's been gone a long time, but I still miss her. I miss her no nonsense approach to life and advice most in the hard places in life.
Grandma, you touched so many lives and influenced generations of your family. What an awesome legacy!!!!! You've been gone for nearly 20 years and we still honor and love you more than words could say. I guess that makes you truly a Proverbs 31 woman. Love to you forever and always.
