Margie Lamb, 86, of Kansas City, passed away at Bickford at Mission Springs on Tuesday April 19, 2011. Graveside services will be held at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens Saturday April 23, 2011 at 11 AM. Visitation will be held one hour prior at Floral Hills Funeral Home. Margie was born in Antoine, Arkansas to Louis and Narcissus Bertschy. In 1943 she was married to Buford Lamb. They moved to the Kansas City area in 1946 and this is where they spent the rest of their lives. Margie retired as a bookkeeper from Great American Insurance Company in 1986. She was a devoted member of the Faith Presbyterian Church for over 40 years. Margie is preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Debbie Marshall, and her husband, Buford Lamb, on September 20, 2007. She is survived by three children: Linda Enlow, Theresa Andersen, and Roger Lamb; seven grandchildren; and 1 great- granddaughter. Margie's children would like to thank the staff at Bickford at Mission Springs for loving and caring for mom, especially Rocio P and Pamela B.
