Victim Of Stroke

The angel of death paid a surprising and sudden call to the Harris community on Friday night of last week in the passing of Mrs Harry Martinsen after only a few hours illness. Mrs Martinson visited Rush city on Friday of last week and suffered a stroke, passing away that same evening at about 11:30 o'clock.

The Martinsen family have lived for many years in the Harris community, living on a farm near Stark and later moving onto a farm near Goose Lake.

Mrs Lillie Larson Martinsen was born on February 14, 1899, and passed away on March 24, 1939, just a little over 40 years of age.

The funeral services were conducted on Tuesday afternoon of this week from the Harris Lutheran church with the pastor, Rev A Wm Nordin, officiating. The special music for the service was furnished by Mrs Nordin and by mr and Mrs John Hultgren with the church filled with sorrowing relatives and friends to pay their last tribute to the memory of thi beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Interment was in the Harris cemetery.

Mrs Martinson is survived by her husband and four children, two sons and two daughters; her mother, Mrs Louis Larson, three brothers, Ed, Gotfred, and Alfred Larson, and a sister Mrs Esther Sederberg, besides a large number of other relative and a host of friends.
