Allen E. Jenkinson
Allen E. Jenkinson, 75, South Front Street, a well-known resident of Middleport, died Thursday evening at Veterans Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Jenkinson was born in Pomeroy, a son of the late Grover T. and Meda Laubner Jenkinson.
A member of the Middleport Church of Christ, Mr. Jenkinson was also a member of Drew Webster Post 39, American Legion, the Disabled American Veterans and the OKAN Coin Club. He was a member of the Ohio Highway Patrol Auxiliary and a past president of the Middleport-Pomeroy Rotary Club. He was a retired sales representative for Standard Oil Co.
Surviving are a brother and sister-in-law, Curtis and Dorothy Jenkinson of Middleport; two nieces, Mrs. Kay Williams of Shade, and Mary Jane Jenkinson of Lakeland, Fla.; and a great nephew and a great niece, James and Sandra Hoyt of Shade.
Besides his parents, Mr. Jenkinson was preceded in death by his wife, Louella.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Riverview Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Rawlings-Coats-Blower Funeral Home all day Saturday. The family will be present from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
