Flossie Ann Quarnberg was born on 3 October, 1879 in Scipio, Utah to Peter Jacob and Caroline Marie(Hanseen) Quarnberg. Her father, Peter, was 10 years old when he arrived in Utah with the Isaac A. Canfield Company in October 1864. She was raised in Scipio, and married Harmon Edward Wasden on November 12, 1901. She was the mother of seven sons and one daughter. They resided in Scipio, briefly moved to Raymond Alberta, Canada, returned and moved to Fillmore, Utah, and later moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. She was a member of the LDS church, and a strong and independent woman.
