Mr. Conrad was born July 25, 1909, at Blue Springs, a son of the late Sampson B. and Melvina (Hamrick) Conrad.
On April 11, 1934, he married Marie Blanche Conrad who survives at Monterville.
Also surviving are two sons, Marvin J. Conrad of Summersville and Charles E. Conrad of Richmond, Va.; two daughters, Mrs. Marion (Maxine) Bonner and Mrs. William (Dora) Morgan, both of Monterville; six granddaughters; five grandsons; five great-granddaughters; and three great-grandsons.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and two grandsons.
Mr. Conrad was a retired coal miner, having worked for Bethlehem Steel for 35 years. He was a member of United Mine Workers of America District No. 3, and the Cowger United Methodist Church at Monterville.
