Obituary for Beryl (New Richland Star, 28 Oct 1982): "SERVICES HELD FOR BERYL GEHRING. Beryl Gehring of Waldorf passed away Wednesday, October 13 at 4 p.m. at Naeve Hospital, Albert Lea. Death was due to heart failure. She had been in failing health for the past four years. A daughter of John Munsch and his wife, Hannah Adams, she was born September 1, 1911 in Byron Township. She was a graduate of Waldorf High School and the New Richland Normal Training. She taught school prior to her marriage. On November 10, 1936 she married Lloyd Gehring of Waseca at St Joseph's Catholic Church, Waldorf. He preceded her in death February 24, 1964. A member of St Josephs Catholic Church, she was an honorary member of the Altar Society of that church and was a member of the Retired Teachers Association. Immediate survivors are four nieces, Mrs Tom (Joan) Baynes and Mrs Don (Bonnie) Root, both of New Richland; Mrs Mark (Darlene) McDonough of Waldorf; and Mrs Donald (Mary Lou) O'Brien of Savage. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Mrs Irene Munsch of Waldorf, three great nieces and 10 great nephews. Besides her husband, Lloyd, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Merlyn J Munsch and Leon J Munsch. Services were held Saturday, October 16 at 10:30 a.m. at St Joseph's Catholic Church, Waldorf with Fr Elmer Kellen of Janesville officiating. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery, New Richland."
