(March 19, 1968 - April 14, 2011)

On April 14, 2011 at 8:38 P.M. Staci Samqua/McAfee "Wab-Sah-She-Quah" Harris, 43, of Topeka, Kansas was greeted by those family and loved ones who have gone before her, and was welcomed with open arms by our creator at the Midland Hospice House in Topeka, Kansas surrounded by her loving family and friends.

She was born on March 19, 1968 in Horton, Kansas the daughter of Cletus Samqua and Beverly Jo Medicine-Horse.

Staci attended school in Powhattan and Topeka. Staci worked as a DJ for various clubs in Junction City, KS, prior to becoming a waitress at the Golden Eagle Casino, she also worked at the Capital Plaza Hotel as a bartender. She was a member of the Kickapoo Tribe in Kansas, loved to arrange flowers, decorate cakes, make candles, play tennis, dice games and was quite a gourmet cook.

Survivors include her mother, B-Jo Greemore of Topeka, Kansas, her father that raised her, Mike McAfee of Horton, Kansas; companion, Don Perry of Topeka, Kansas; three sons, Ross McAfee of Horton, Kansas, Blayne McAfee and Brett Perry both of Topeka, Kansas; daughter Keiauna Perry of Topeka, Kansas: four brothers, LaVerne Wabaunsee of Topeka, Kansas, Darcy Childs of Topeka, Kansas, Dean Childs of Holton, Kansas and Sonny Samqua of Topeka, Kansas; four sisters, Kim Culver of Topeka, Kansas, Wendy Medicine-Horse of Topeka, Kansas, Judy Lanter of Effingham, Kansas and Julie Samqua of Wichita, Kansas; two grandchildren, N'Kota and Malakhi and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her biological father, Cletus Samqua. Drum Services will be at 5:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at the Kickapoo Community Building. Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. on Sunday morning at the Kennekuk Cemetery on the Kickapoo Reservation. A special message may sent to the family at www.dishon-maple-chaney.com.
