This is believed to be Thomas J. MALLORY, son of Allen Brown & Harriett (DeLOACH) MALLORY - if so, born ca. 1840, probably in Upson County, Georgia. He married 25 JUN 1863 in Upson County, Georgia, to Martha Mary Ann TORBERT (ca. 1842 - MAR 1889 Upson County, GA, daughter of Lemuel & Martha Caroline GLANTON TORBERT) and was the father of at least seven children. Probably died between 1880 and 1900.

His burial record shows that he served in Company A, 46th Regiment, Georgia Infantry, CSA; burial information per the "Cemeteries of Upson County, Georgia," Upson Historical Society, 3rd Edition, 1986, p. 19. Per "History of Upson County, Georgia," by Nottingham & Hannah (1930), p. 675, also serving in this company was J. M. MALLORY - evidently Thomas' brother Jesse M. MALLORY - and both men entered and separated as Privates, and these two men's families are reported next door to each other on the 1880 census of Blackankle (Georgia Militia District #494), Upson County, GA.

On 18 OCT 1861, Thomas J. MALLORY enlisted as a Private in Company I (Upson County, Georgia), 6th Regiment, Georgia State Troops. Mustered out APR 1862. Enlisted 07 MAY 1862 as a Private in Company I, 32nd regiment, Georgia Infantry, and later in 1862 transferred to Company A, 46th Regiment, Georgia Infantry. Surrendered 26 APR 1865 at Greensboro, North Carolina.

Also serving in Company A of the 46th were: Jesse M. MALLORY apparently Thomas' brother), Frank H. BROWN, George W. BROWN, John, W. BROWN, J. B. BROWN, J. Frank BROWN, Thomas H. BROWN, John A. DeLOACH, William M. DeLOACH, George W. DENHAM, Dennis SHEPHERD, and Frank M. SHEPHERD.
