Mary Frances Crout (1921-2011)

DENISON - Mary Frances Crout passed away on April 18, 2011 in Austin. She was a lifelong resident of Denison except for the past few years when she moved to Austin to be near her children due to declining health.
She was born to Fannie Mae and Roy Dallas Bush on June 22, 1921. She spent her many years lovingly making a home and caring for her family. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for more than 70 years where she taught Sunday School, was active in the Women's Missionary Union and the nursing home ministry for 30 years. She loved children, to sing and dance and especially to recite poetry, particularly the children's verse of Robert Louis Stevenson.
She was predeceased in 1995 by her husband of more than 50 years, Albert Crout. She is survived by her son, Dr. James Crout and wife, Glenda of Austin, and two daughters, Frances Jeanne Crout of Dallas, and Karen Ann Arneson and husband Richard of Pflugerville. Her grandchildren are Jennifer Campbell and husband Jerry of Frisco, Jessica Russo and husband Nick of Shreveport, La., Timothy Crout of New York City, and Elisabeth Arneson of Pflugerville. She enjoyed six great-grandchildren: Steele and Tess Duke, Kaz and Eva Campbell, and Maddie and Mariana Russo.
The family would like to give special thanks to our cousins Brenda Chapman, Oliver and Beverly Bush, and Eddie and Jerry Pilkilton for their special care of our mother during her recent years.
"The Swing"
How do you like to go up in a swing,
Up in the air so blue?
Oh, I do think it is the pleasantest thing
Ever a child can do!
Up in the air and over the wall,
Till I can see so wide,
Rivers and trees and cattle and all
Over the countryside -
Till I look down on the garden green,
Down on the roof so brown -
Up in the air I go flying again,
Up in the air and down!

Robert Louis Stevenson
