-- Funeral rites for Charles F. Gillespie, 77 will be at 10 a.m. Tomorrow in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Eagar.

Bishop Parker Crosby will officiate. Friends may call at the Nettz Mortuary in Springerville. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery.

Mr. Gillespie was born in Payson and homesteaded in Vernon. He was Bishop of the Vernon ward for 12 years and was Stake Missionary for the Mormon church for 2 years.

A retired carpenter, he was in charge of construction work of the sawmill at McNary.

Mr. Gillespie died Tuesday in the McNary Hospital.

He is survived by his wife Loreteta; six sons, Charles, Leone, and Milton, all of Vernon; Guy, Mesa; William, Show Low; and Meryl, St. Johns; three daughters, Mrs. Beryl Brade, Vernon; Mrs. Georgia Austin, Eagar; and Mrs. Maxine Frost, Lakeside; a brother, Fae, Safford; a sister, Mrs. Temperance Penrod, Lakeside; 45 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
