WINKLERS CELEBRATE
50 YEARS OF MARRIAGE

Mr. and Mrs. Howard Winkler of Covina were honored at their Golden Wedding Anniversary with a dinner at Huntington Sheraton Hotel, Pasadena, and a reception at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Giandomenico.

The couple have been residents of California for 46 years, and of the San Gabriel Valley for 45 years.

Mrs. Winkler was born in Grand Island, Neb. and her husband was born in Hozwell [sic], Colo. They were married in Grand Island.

They have one daughter, Jonene, West Covina, who is now Mrs. Nicholas Giandomenico; three grand children and two great-grandchildren.

Winkler is a retired general superientendent at Guardian Development Corp. and Mrs. Winkler is a homemaker.

From 1933 to 1937, the couple operated their own business in Grand Island and through World War II Winkler worked for the government.

His hobbies include deep-sea fishing, gardening and decorating. Mrs. Winkler's hobbies include reading, handcrafts, sewing and western concerts.
