He was born in Beaver Dam, Kentucky, November 3, 1906, the son of Robert I. and Anna (Hammons) Barnard. He married Grace Becker in August 1928.
Mr. Barnard was a member to all bodies of the Masonic Lodge and he recieved a 50 year pin from the Blue Lodge. He was a member of Eastern Star.
He was superintendent for several construction companies in the St. Louis and Illinois area. After he retired, Mr. Barnard moved to Williamsburg and operated several farms in Callaway County.
He is survived by his wife, Grace Barnard of Willliamsburg, two sons, Robert C. Barnard of St. Ann and William C. "BillY' Barnard of Williamsburg, three brothers, Lewis Barnard of Denver, Colorado, Victor Barnard of Rockfort, Illinois and Bruce Barnard of Berckley, Illinois, one grandson, Steven Barnard of St. Ann, several nieces and nephews and Hedy Sutton of Marthasville, who was like a daughter.
Mr. Barnard will be buried in the Bethel Cemetary in Readsville.
Visitation will be from 6-8pm Friday, February 5, with Masonic services at 7pm at Maupin Funeral Chapel in Fulton.
