Henry Olin

U.S. Congressman. He studied law, was admitted to the Bar and started the practice of law in Leicester, Vermont, in 1788. He was a member of the Vermont State House of Representatives, (1799-1804, 1806-15, 1817-19), chief judge of the Addison County Court, (1801-24) and a member of the executive council, (1820-21). In 1824, he was elected as an Adams-Clay Republican to the Eighteenth Congress to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Charles Rich and served until 1825. After his term, he was appointed the 6th Lieutenant Governor of Vermont, serving (1827-30).
