Patricia Ann Dahlen was born March 15, 1927, at home in Thompson, to Lulu (DeVries) and Clarence Torgeson. She graduated from Thompson High School in the Class of 1944 and attended Waldorf College.
In July of 1945, she was united in marriage to Ralph Dahlen in Thompson. To this union five children were born: Klareese, Lynn, Kermit, Rebecca and Patrick.
Pat worked for Deluxe Products in Lake Mills in the 1960s and, for a time, assisted the librarian at the Joice Library.
She loved her family, enjoyed reading, and crafts. She was president of the Resident Council at Good Samaritan Center and enjoyed being a member of the Red Hat Society.
Pat is survived by four of her children: Lynn Dirks of Apple Valley, Minn., Kermit (Mari) Dahlen of Hinton, Iowa, Becky (Ron) Hagen of Forest City, and Patrick (Eileen) Dahlen of Rio Rancho, N.M.; a son-in-law, Larry Thorson of Onalaska, Wis.; nine grandchildren, Amy (Joe) Gosz, David Thorson, Jeffrey Dirks, Kristopher Dahlen, Brian (Jamie) Hagen, Allison Hagen, Eric (Rachel) Goranson, Savannah Dahlen and Nicholas Dahlen; three great-grandchildren Andrew Gosz, Kyle and Keira Goranson; along with other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph; and daughter, Klareese...."
