Funeral services for Geraldine Thompson (nee Steinhouse), 72, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Oehler Funeral Home, 555 Lee St., Des Plaines.
Born Sept. 28, 1926, in Chicago, she died Sunday, Dec. 6, 1998, at home with her family. Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery.
Mrs. Thompson worked at the Des Plaines Ace Hardware for eight years. Prior to that, she worked at Playskool in Chicago for 10 years.
She was the wife of the late Newell; mother of Patricia (Norman) Chamblee of Palatine, Connie (Richard) Simons of Deerfield and Gayle (John) Sinitean of Bartlett; sister of Henry (Ingrid) Steinhouse of Louisville, Ky., Gertrude (Joseph) Chandler of Schiller Park and June Belskis of Schaumburg; and grandmother of Lori and Mark Chamblee, Kendra (Bill) Babler, Neal, Jonathan and Veronica Simons, and Jason, Jeff and Jeremy Sinitean.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
