He was the husband of Meda Ella (Doughty) Bryer.
Mr. Bryer was a retired Federal Government employee, having worked as a custodian in the Fish and Game Department, Boothbay, Maine, for 15 years.
Prior to that he worked at General Electric Co., Lynn in the foundry, and for H.P. Hood Ice Cream, Lynn.
Born in Lynn, educated in Lynn Schools, Mr. Bryer was a livelong resident of the City. He was a member of the Order of the Moose.
Mr. Bryer leaves three sons, Walter E. Bryer Jr. of Lynn, Earl F. Bryer, also of Lynn, and Bernard S. Bryer of Richmond , Maine: two daughters, Eleanor Healey of Lynn and Jacqueline Schultz of Lynn: one sister Miss. Susan Bryer of Lynn: 12 grand-children and 10 great-grand children.
Srevices will be held in the Goodrich Funeral Home, 128 Washington St., Tuesday at 11 A.M.
Burial will be in Pinegrove Cemetery, Lynn.

Acute myocardial infraction, Arteriosclerosis
