Mrs. Gertrude Imogene Mingus, 82, of 2307 Champaign, died at 4:25 a. m. today in Memorial Hospital, where she had been a patient since Aug. 19. She had been ill three months. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p. m. Monday at the Mitchell-Jerdan funeral home, with Rev. J. E. Cleveland officiating. Burial will be in Zion cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p. m. Sunday.

Born June 18, 1883, in Cumberland County, Mrs. Mingus was the daughter of Thomas F. and Anna Buchanan Lawson. In 1908, she married Robert Zimmer, who died in 1946 in Neoga. On March 20, 1963, in Mattoon, she married Lonnie Francis Mingus, who survives.

A resident of Mattoon for 10 years, Mrs. Mingus formerly resided in Neoga. Surviving besides her husband are a nephew, Grant Lawson, Mattoon, and a niece, Miss Leah Lawson, Mattoon.
