HOMSEY Margaret Lee Cohlmia Homsey of Oklahoma City was born on March 21, 1924 in Gate, OK to Adeeb and Najeeba Cohlmia. She went to be with the lord on Sunday, September 29, 2002, from which she lived 78 beautiful years loving her family and friends and all who knew her. She grew up in Gate, OK and moved with her family in 1939 to Watonga, OK. In 1941, she met the love of her life, Samuel Richard Homsey whom she was married to for 60 blessed years. During her lifetime she was active in every activity of her children. Margaret was a Charter member of Bonne Heure Club for 56 years, serving in all offices and committees, also a volunteer for the Mercy Hospital Green Angels, a lifelong member of St. Elijah Orthodox Christian Church where she was a member of the St. Elijah Ladies Jr. Guild, and Ladies Aid, where she served in all offices and committees, and a member of the Order of St. Ignatius. She was also a member of the choir where she enjoyed singing for the Lord each Sunday. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Sam of 60 beautiful years, her parents Adeeb and Najeeba Cohlmia, brothers George, Fred, Woody, and a sister Velma Swyden. Although we have lost are beloved Margaret, she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She leaves with us a living legacy of strong faith in God, love and devotion to family and friends, and precious treasured memories. Out of her union of marriage she had four children, Dr. Richard and Cindy Homsey, Connie and Franklin Naifeh, Cookie and Roger Deeba, and Mickey and Sydney Homsey, all of Oklahoma City. She is also survived by her eleven precious grandchildren Todd Naifeh, Bill Coury, Jr., Justin Naifeh, Dominque Homsey, Trey Homsey, Courtney Bradley, Blair Naifeh, Valerie Salem, Chad Homsey, Sammy Homsey, and Megan Homsey and two great grandchildren Margaret Rose Naifeh, and Michael Salim Salem whom she deeply adored. She is survived by and will be especially missed by her sisters and brothers Florence Kouri, Josephine Shadid, Gordon and Minerva Cohlmia, Dr. Floyd and Elsie Simon, Dr. Ray and Samara Cohlmia, and Phyllis Cohlmia. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Flowers That Do Not Wither Fund at St. Elijah. Officiating will be Very Reverend Father Con stantine Nasr, Economos, Reverend Father John Mefrige, Reverend Father Basil McMurry, and Reverend Father John Salem. Trisaigon service will be 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 30, 2002 at St. Elijah Orthodox Christian Church.
