Russell R. Camp, age 54, of Albion, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Home in Battle Creek, Michigan. He was born October 16, 1956 in Lorain, Ohio to Donald Earl and Audrey Lee (Simpson) Camp. In 1990 he married Judy Holibaugh who survives.

Russell was self-employed in the construction business, then in tool rentals and storage business. He was a veteran of the Navy. He loved hunting, fishing, camping and NASCAR racing.

He is survived by: Wife, Judy Camp of Albion; daughter, Chauna (Eric) Stapelberg of Ohio; sons, Robert (Candice) Camp of Ohio, Robert (Shirley) Slone of Albion, Terry Slone of Albion, Michael Slone of Albion, and Randy (Stephanie) Slone of Wellston; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; parents, Donald (Audrey) Camp of Avon Lake,; sisters, Sandy Camp of Ohio and Wendy (Dan) Brooks of Ohio; and brother, Jeff (Debbie) Camp of Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and granddaughter, Ashely Nicole Slone.

A Graveside Service will be Thursday, April 21 at 11 a.m. at Albion Memory Gardens Cemetery, 26905 B Drive South, Albion, Michigan, with Pastor Jim Codde officiating.

Assistance with Memorial Contributions to Lifespan Hospice is available at the Funeral Home.
