DAVENPORT -- Services for Lewis Roger Garrow Sr., of Davenport, will be 10 a.m. today at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Davenport. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal, with military services conducted by American Legion Post 246, Moline. Visitation was 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport. Mr. Garrow died Wednesday, July 29, 1998, at his home. He was employed 28 years as a shop manager at Industrial Engineering, Davenport. He retired in 1997. He was born Jan. 29, 1932, in Davenport, to John Sherman and Velma Grace (Stouffer) Garrow. He married Betty L. Whitbeck on Sept. 20, 1952, in Davenport. He had served in the Navy. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. He enjoyed traveling. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife; a daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Tim Jones, Davenport; a daughter, Cindy Lou Garrow, Glenwood, Iowa; sons and daughters-in-law, Lewis Roger Jr. and Marsha Garrow, Davenport, and Mark Douglas and Danya Garrow, Davenport; grandchildren, Shelly Miller and Alyssa and Jordan Garrow; and brothers, Jack Clayton, Davenport, Donald McGregor, Davenport, Jim Garrow, Davenport, David Garrow, Calamus, Iowa, and Joe Garrow, Eldridge, Iowa.
