Peter Hoffman(sic), a brother of Frank Hoffman of this city, died at his home Friday of pneumonia at Sheboygan. He was 59 years of age and a former Manitowoc county resident and businessman. Born in the Town of Centerville on Nov. 10, 1871, Mr. Hoffman attended the public schools of the vicinity and later conducted the general store at St. Wendel for 11 years. He then moved to Sheboygan and was affiliated with the American Hide and Leather Company for many years.
He was married to Miss Margaret Bersch of the Town of Meeme in 1896 who survives him. He is also survived by a daughter, Mrs. George Kewley, Milwaukee, a son, Walter, attending Marquette University, Milwaukee and three brothers, Frank of Manitowoc, John of Sheboygan Falls and Norbert of Milwaukee and five sisters, Mrs. Mary Schoengarth, Yakima, Washington, Mrs. Heronimus Nennig, Cleveland, Mrs. John Gretz, St. Wendel and the Misses Clara and Irene Hoffman at Milwaukee. Funeral services were held Monday morning from Holy Name Church in Sheboygan.
