Edward C. Baker, 67, of Bloorner, died Sunday morning, January 24, 1988, at the Bloomer Hospital. He was born March 23, 1920, in, Eau Claire. He was in the U.S. Army during WWII. He lived In Eau Claire, Cedarburg, Grafton and Bloomer.

He worked construction. He married Dorothy Madsen July 1, 1978 in Port Washington.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harry Baker and Harriet (Brown); two sisters, Betty Wik, and Marian Sorenson.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy; four sons, Charles (Buzz): Jackson, WI, Donald of Bloomer, James of Fond du Lac, William of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two daughters, Darlene (Butch) Philipps, Bloomer; and Judy Baker of Chippewa Falls; two stepsons, Barry Rice of Colfax and Charles Rice of Ridgeland; one stepdaughter, Evelyn (Mrs. Terry) Hoppe, Prairie Farm; 12 grandchildren; 4 great.
grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 28, at the Olson Funeral Home, Bloomer, with Rev. Martin Nolet officiating. Interment will be in e Bloomer City Cemetery where military rites will be held by the Bloomer American Legion and VFW miliary posts.

Friends may call at the Olson Funeral Home from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m on Wednesday and on Thursday morning until the time of service.

BAKER SERVICE
A funeral service for Edward C. Baker was held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 28, 1988, at the Olson Funeral Home, Bloomer, with Rev. Marty Nolet officiating. The music solos were "Beyond The Sunset" and "The Old Rugged Cross."

Interment was made in the Bloomer City Cemetery. The casket bearers were John Baker, John Gesler, Dan Philipps, Terry Hoppe, Tim Koehler and Scott Loew. Homorary pallbearers were Barry Rice, Anie Franz and Rollie Prince.
Military rites at the graveside were conducted by the Bloomer American Legion and V.F.W.

The American Legion and VFW members articipating were Jerry Eastman, andy Kuba and Jake Sykora.
