=========================

In remembrance of Little Floyd Barnes, son of A.E. and Martha Barnes of Alco, Stone county AR and died Oct 16, 1892.

Sweet little Floyd has gone to rest; To reign with God, forever blest. His little tongue will always sing; The praise of Christ our Lord and King.

Dear father, for him do not weep. In Christ's strong arms he's now asleep. He joined the little angel band, and Has a seat at God's right hand. Oh! Mother tur, your boy is gone; But you will see him with the throng, Of angles clothed in garments white, In that bright Land where there is no night. Oh! Sisters dear; you no more hear, His little foot step coming near, But you will go with careful tread, And view the place where he lies dead.

And in the spring, when roses bloom, You'll lay the sweetest on his tomb. An evergreen shall deck the head, Of that cold grave of brother, dead. And when your mind is free from care, You'll go and read his name so fair. Those letters will ne'er be destroyed, The spell of the name of little Floyd. Oh! brother sweet with eyes so bright, You too must go at God's invite. If you will be a duteous boy, You'll find a home of peace and joy.

Dear little Floyd, we all did love; But he has gone to Heaven above, Where God he'll praise and should and sing, "And make the heavenly arches ring." His little name is now enrolled, In that blest book of joys untold. Above the world of sin and strife, He now enjoys a heavenly life."

Now father, mother, oh! beware: The judgment day; for it prepare, That wen the roll is called out clear, With little Floyd, you'll answer "here".

Dear brother sweet, sister true, There is work for you to do. "Let the blest book of sacred truth, Engage the fervor of your youth.

Peruse it still from day to day, It's holy precepts, learn obey. Give God your heart, each other love, And meet sweet Floyd in heaven above.
