Ellen L. Ray Albion Ellen L. Ray, 68, of Albion passed away Saturday April 16, 2011 at Magnum Health and Rehabilitation in Albion. She was born September 28, 1942 in Albion, Michigan to Lloyd Arthur and Frances Marie (Warner) Ray. She was a 1960 graduate of Albion High School being very active in Class Reunion activities for her graduating class, she was a life member of the East Eckford Community Church, she was Treasurer at the church, and she started as pianist at the age of 13 for the church. She worked in the Auto Division at State Farms Regional Office in Marshall from June of 1960, when she graduated until her retirement in 2003. She was a member of the Albion Women's Bowling Association for many years and was the treasurer for the AWBA for 10 years. She loved to travel. She is survived by her mother, Frances Ray of Albion; 1 sister, Karen (Dennis) King of Sun City Center, FL; 3 nieces, Jennifer Bramble of Lincoln Park, Michele Bramble of Albion, and Kristine King of Nashville, MI; 1 nephew, Jeff (Tonya) King of St. Louis, MO; 1 great nephew, Joshua Halstead of Albion; 1 great niece, Katelyn Visser of Nashville, MI; an aunt, uncle, many cousins; and many friends including the Albion High School Class of 1960. She was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Ray and a sister, Nancy Bramble. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and the family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 (Noon) on Saturday April 23, 2011 at the J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 811 Finley Drive, Albion, MI 49224. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday April 23, 2011 at 12:00 (Noon) at the Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Carlton officiating.
