Morris Wayne Pruitt went to be with his Lord on Sunday, April 17, 2011.

Wayne was born June 19, 1926, in Bangs to Andee and Lorine Pruitt. He had been a resident of Azle since 1954 and was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 30 years before his retirement in 1987. He was a member of Ash Creek Baptist Church for 56 years and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors: Wife, Geneva Curry Pruitt; daughters, Judy Stanford, and Jean Ratliff and husband, Robert; son, Morris D. Pruitt and wife, Carolynn; sister, Mary Prince; grandchildren, Nathan, Tiffany, Lindsey, Kyle and Aaron; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Ash Creek Baptist Church. Interment: Ash Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Biggers Funeral Home.
