ARTHUR F. ACKERSON, 62, husband of Isabell Crissman Ackerson, of Marion Center R. D. 2, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 1969, in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh. A son of Frank and Nettie Dick Ackerson, he was born Feb 28, 1907, in Marion Center. Mr. Ackerson was a proment [sic] farmer in that area. In addition to his wife, mentioned above, he is survived by three sons and three daughters; Arthur Jr., Columbia Station, Ohio; Mrs. John (Patty) Daugherty, Curwensville; Mrs. Wayne (Shirley) Brocious, of Aurora, Ohio; Larry C., Marion Center R. D.; Richard B. and Karen, both at home; seven grandchildren; two sisters and a brother; Mrs. Dwight (Violet) Edwards and Mrs. Lee (Thelma) Hoover, both of Chambersburg; and Howard Ackerson, Marion Center. Friends are being received today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Home, Marion Center, where services will be conducted Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Joseph M. Gilkey will officiate and interment will be made in the Gilgal Cemetery, E. Mahoning Twp.
