Alice M. Wallace Strickland was born in Carrollton, GA on July 24, 1922 to Ben and Beulah Wallace.
Her family later moved to Grandview, Texas.
She married the love of her life, Weldon Clyde (Curley) Strickland in August 27, 1942.
They were married and lived in Duncanville, Texas for 46 years.
She accepted Christ as her Savior and served Him faithfully.
She loved children and taught Sunday school for many years.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Preceding her in death were her parents, two sisters, four brothers, her husband and her daughter, Karen Strickland Williamson.
She is survived by her daughter, Kay (James, Sr.) Leaks and Connie (Melvin) Blackstock; grandchildren, Jarrod (Donna) Blackstock, James Leaks, Jr. and Ramona (Raymond) Richmond; great grandchildren, Jaysen Leaks, Anna Richmond and Chasity Price; and sister, Nell Killgo.
Visitation is Friday, April 15, 2011 from 6-8 PM at First Baptist Church, Duncanville, Texas.
Funeral Service is 11:00 AM Saturday, April 16, 2001, also at First Baptist Church, 323 W. Wheatland @ Santa Fe Duncanville, Texas.
Burial will follow at Little Bethel Cemetery.
Jaynes Funeral Chapel, 811 So. Cockrell Hill Road, Duncanville, Texas.
