US Congressman. A merchant and Colonel in the Pennsylvania State Militia, he served in the Pennsylvania State Legislature from 1817 to 1821. He was elected as a Jacksonian to represent Pennsylvania’s 7th District in the United States House of Representatives, serving two terms from March 4, 1827 to March 3, 1831.
