US Congressman. A lawyer, he entered the Pennsylvania Bar in 1812, and served as a Lehigh County court clerk. He was elected to represent Pennsylvania’s 7th District in the United States House of Representatives, serving from March 4, 1823 until his death in office on August 14, 1826. After his death, the vacancy of his Congressional seat was subsequently filled by Congressman Jacob Krebs. A cenotaph for Congressman Wilson exists in Washington, DC’s Congressional Cemetery.
