Dr. John A. "Jac" Caruso, 65, passed away, surrounded by family. Jac was born and raised in Minersville, Pennsylvania. He grew up in a small coal-mining town, and served as a faithful altar boy. He graduated from Penn State and entered into the United States Navy as a Naval Flight Officer. Jac spent the first half of his military career flying "A-6 Intruders," including 189 missions in Vietnam, and after graduating from Georgetown, he fulfilled his second half of his career as a General Dentist. While stationed at NAS Pensacola, he met and married, a local beauty. They raised their children and kept Pensacola their home. After 24 years of service, he retired from the Navy as a Commander, only to continue working 18 more years before another retirement from his own private dental practice. He enjoyed annual trips to "The Florida Keys" but his favorite place to be was his home away from home, Beaver Lake Hunting Club, also known as "The Camp." Jac achieved numerous accomplishments in his lifetime, and his generosity and kind heart was evident in every aspect of his life.
