As per his wishes, his body has been cremated and his ashes will be buried at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Hodgson, Rock Island, is in charge of arrangements.
He was born Dec. 14, 1913, in Silex, Mo., the son of George and Annie Kelch Colbert. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
He was a maintenance repairman at American Container Co., Rock Island, for 20 years until his retirement in 1971.
Surviving are a nephew, Clyde Colbert; niece, Becky Seily; sister-in-law, Dorothy Colbert; and special friends, Gloria Howard, Darlene Weirsman, Edith Lawrence and Aubree and Nick Lee. He was preceded in death by his parents.
