Lititz Record (Lititz, Pa.), Friday, September 11, 1891, p. 3, col. 1:
"A Sudden Death
Daniel Adams, of Millway, died suddenly last Wednesday afternoon. The day before he was apparently in the best of health, and assisted to placing a thresher in readiness to thresh grain the next day. On Wednesday morning when his wife called to him to prepare for breakfast she heard no response. On going to his room, she noticed that he was unconscious and unable to speak. A physician was hastily summoned who pronounced the ailment to be an attack of paralysis and that there was no hope of recovery. The deceased did not recover consciousness until death ensued. His wife, four sons and two daughters survive. The funeral took place on Saturday at the Evangelical church at Rothsville."
